Data File Quick Reference
Most warehouse labeling reprints come from the data file, not the print. Before production:
- One row per label, one column per printed field, in printing order
- Location IDs formatted consistently, including zero padding (A01-01-A, not A1-1-A)
- Check digits calculated and included as a separate column when used
- No duplicate location IDs anywhere in the file
- Sequence gaps identified and confirmed as intentional
- Arrow direction, tier, and barcode fields supplied as separate columns
