What are plate charges and when do I pay them?

Flexographic printing requires a printing plate per color and a cutting die per label size. Those are one-time charges per design and size, and repeat orders of the same design reuse them.

Can you match a PMS brand color?

Yes, spot color matching is standard on flexographic runs. Digital printing simulates PMS values in process color, which is close but not an exact spot match on every color.

What artwork format should I send?

Vector PDF, AI, or EPS with fonts outlined. Raster images should be 300 dpi or higher at final size, with bleed extended past the die line.

Can you print variable data such as serial numbers?

Yes. Digital presses handle versioning and serialization, and thermal transfer printing handles unique data on every label. Send the data file and the encoding requirements.

Do I need a proof before production?

Yes, we provide a proof for approval on custom work. Approving artwork, die line, and color before the press runs is the cheapest place to catch an error.

Laminate gives the best abrasion and chemical protection and comes in gloss or matte. UV varnish is lighter scuff protection at lower cost. Harsh environments should use laminate on a synthetic facestock.

Why do my barcodes fail scan grading?

Most often the barcode was placed as a scaled image rather than generated at print resolution. Send the encoded data and symbology so the barcode is produced to spec.
